It’s better to be safe than sorry …
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Billy Elekana scored his first Octagon finish as he clipped Kevin Christian with a vicious right hook and then
proceeded to choke him unconscious at UFC Vegas 110 last night (Sat., Nov. 1, 2025) inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada (watch highlights).
UFC company officials confirmed to MMAmania.com that Christian was transported to a local “Sin City” hospital immediately after his loss for a precautionary CT scan of his head and face.
The good news: the Brazilian was later discharged. However, the results of the scan have not yet been made public.
Christian (9-3) — a Season 8 Contender Series contract winner — was making his long-awaited UFC debut after a 14-month layoff. Unfortunately, it couldn’t have gone much worse. The loss snapped his six-fight winning streak, all of which came by stoppage.
Standing 6’7”, Christian will aim to regroup and return to the win column in 2026.
Meanwhile, Elekana (9-2) continues to build momentum. The 30-year-old Hawaiian has now won two straight since losing his debut to Bogdan Guskov at UFC 311 (watch highlights), ending the year on a high note with his first official UFC finish — even if it didn’t earn him a “Performance of the Night” bonus.
It’s worth noting that it is not uncommon for UFC fighters to be transported to the hospital as a precaution, especially after knockouts or three-round wars with sustained damage.
