The San Francisco 49ers officially announced the signings of Quinton Bell and K.J. Henry to one-year deals. We covered Henry’s background and what Bell could bring to the defense on Tuesday.
To make room for those two, the team waived/injured William Bradley-King and Andrew Farmer II. Bradley-King and Farmer II are both edge rushers.
Bradley-King, 6’4”, 248 pounds, was drafted in the seventh round by the Washington Commanders back in 2021. He’s bounced around multiple practice squads since then. He didn’t
appear in a regular-season game last season. He did play in four games in 2024 with the Miami Dolphins, where Bradley-King registered seven tackles.
Farmer II is listed at 6’4, 250 pounds. He’s been in the NFL since 2023. He’s appeared in 8 games during his NFL career. Farmer didn’t practice Monday with a back issue.
The 49ers are essentially upgrading athletically with these transactions. Henry is out of Clemson. He ran a 4.63 40-yard dash, which was in the 85th percentile when he entered the league.
Bell’s Pro Day numbers were impressive. His 40 time was anywhere between 4.38 and 4.448. He had a 41″ vertical jump and a broad jump that was 11 feet. Those numbers would’ve been in the 90th percentile any year.
