Jaylen Watson appeared to be seriously hurt in Week 3 when he was helped to the sideline, and road a cart to the locker room, but apparently the Los Angeles Rams are not considering putting him on IR.
Now, Watson’s injury may still be serious, but the good news for the Rams is that he may be expected back sooner than later.
It would be ideal for the Rams to see their team healthy with Myles Garrett, Puka Nacua and now Watson, but that hasn’t been the case. Instead, this team has been injured and their 1-2
record has been disappointing.
The season isn’t over and the Rams haven’t looked helpless, but they’ve looked lesser in two out of three weeks. Hopefully the Rams get Watson and others back in time to make a push.

“WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Rams head coach Sean McVay on Monday said cornerback Jaylen Watson sustained a dislocated shoulder in Sunday night’s loss to the Broncos.
While Watson “probably” will miss this Sunday’s Week 4 road game against the Eagles, according to McVay, he will not be placed on Injured Reserve and that isn’t something they have talked about.
“He’ll probably be out for this week, and (it’s) something that we’ll see if we can kind of get him strengthened and harness it,” McVay said. “It’s something that he’s dealt with before, but not something that we’ve discussed, IR.”
Watson’s injury occurred around the 3:04 mark of the second quarter. He was carted back to the locker room after being evaluated in the medical tent. Prior to exiting with that injury, he had recorded two total tackles (one for loss) and two passes defensed.“

They blew a 16-point lead to the Denver Broncos, losing by a score of 30-26 on the road. “Stafford has played a lot of football and he wasn’t fazed. He hit Konata Mumpfield for three straight completions, gains of 21, 9 and then a 48-yard touchdown to take back the lead. Mumpfield beat cornerback Riley Moss and was wide open downfield for Stafford’s pass. The Rams led 26-23.
That just meant it was the Broncos’ turn to answer. Nix hit Bryant for 39 yards and Troy Franklin for 21, putting Denver in position to at least tie the game with a field goal. Two penalties, including a questionable one on Wallace, kept the drive alive. That led to the Nix touchdown, and the Rams couldn’t answer despite getting inside the red zone at the end.

The Rams were called for five penalties in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, tied for the most by any team in a game since 2000, according to ESPN Research. Referee Bill Vinovich’s crew had thrown the second-fewest flags in the final two minutes of a game in the 2024 and ’25 seasons. “The Vikings traded the 2024 No. 10 overall pick to the New York Giants in exchange for a 2027 fifth-rounder, the team announced on Monday.
Minnesota cashed out on McCarthy after just 10 starts in which he struggled mightily with accuracy. The Vikings’ move on from the 23-year-old was telegraphed during the offseason, when the club sought free agent Kyler Murray and re-signed veteran Carson Wentz.
