Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer hailed the career of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to help celebrate his birthday.
“I wish Karl-Heinz Rummenigge all the best, health, and happiness on his 70th birthday – with FC Bayern, with his big family, with his life, of which he can be very proud. As a footballer, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was the best striker of his time: Inter Milan didn’t pay 10 million Marks as a transfer fee for nothing. You can only guess what price range he would go for today. He has become
truly priceless after his career,” Hainer told Tz journalist Hanna Raif (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Together with Franz Beckenbauer and Uli Hoeneß, he has left a lasting mark on FC Bayern, particularly as CEO, and is now an indispensable voice on our supervisory board. The face of FC Bayern and the Bundesliga, both internationally and internationally, a global networker and visionary – one of the architects of FC Bayern of our time. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is passionate about this club; that’s what drives him, just like Uli Hoeneß, and that’s what drives FC Bayern forward. Dear Kalle, all the best and thank you very much, on behalf of the entire FC Bayern family.”
