Portland Trail Blazers fans are optimistic about their team’s chances to maintain or improve their spot in the Western Conference during the 2026-27 season. At least that’s the result of the latest Reacts survey in which we polled the Portland faithful about the likelihood of the newly-restocked Utah Jazz overtaking the Blazers in the West. Only 1 in 3 respondents thought the Jazz could manage that feat.
Portland finished the 2025-26 season with a 42-40 record. They had no picks in the 2026 NBA Draft
and have made no news with trades or rumored signings since the season ended.
The Jazz, meanwhile, added Ace Bailey in last year’s draft, traded for Jaren Jackson, Jr. during the season, and just selected Kansas guard Darryn Peterson with the second overall pick this year. They’re looking to field a huge, talented frontcourt as they do battle in the West next season.
Are those changes enough for Utah to essentially double their 22-win record? Portland fans say no, or at least that their progress won’t be enough to let them catch the Blazers.
Reacts surveys are brought to you by FanDuel Sportsbook. For those curious, they have the Blazers roughly twice as likely to win the Western Conference as Utah.
