Bayern back in on Vlahović? (PSG Talk)
Dušan Vlahović was thought to be off of Bayern Munich’s transfer radar.
Maybe not.
Per a report captured by PSG Talk, Bayern Munich could — once again — be looking at the Juventus striker:
Juventus forward Dušan Vlahović is shaping up as one of the hottest names for the 2026 transfer window, with PSG, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa all reportedly keeping tabs on him. Vlahović’s contract with Juventus runs until June 2026, but his large salary is putting pressure on the club’s
budget, making a sale increasingly likely. CaughtOffside noted that PSG began tracking the Serbian striker earlier this year.
The involvement of Arsenal and Manchester United could turn this into a bidding war. With the winter transfer window approaching and the possibility of Vlahović signing a pre-contract elsewhere, Juventus may aim to finalize a deal rather than risk letting him leave on a free transfer.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Bayern Munich has reached out to Juventus twice about signing Vlahović, who has also attracted interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. With his contract expiring this summer, Vlahović could move on a free transfer, which Bayern see as a more appealing option than paying a large fee for Nicolas Jackson.
Fichajes reports that Juventus would be willing to sell the attacker for around €15 to €20 million in the winter transfer window, a price many see as a bargain given his talent and experience. Moreover, the report reveals that Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Barcelona are among the clubs interested in the Juventus striker.
TBR Football recently revealed that Juventus are open to selling Vlahović in January, with Tottenham Hotspur showing strong interest in the forward.
Bayern Munich was reportedly a favorite potential destination for Vlahović, but it is unclear if the Bavarians are really interested in the striker at this point. If Harry Kane stays (and it seems like a good possibility of that happening), it would make a move for the Serbian very odd (barring everyone knowing that Kane is leaving in 2027).
Mass exodus from Leipzig? (Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze)
RB Leipzig could experience a mass exodus appearing content to part ways with Timo Werner, Lukas Klostermann (did you know he was an Olympic-level sprinter?), Amadou Haidara, and Kevin Kampl:
Four transfer candidates in winter: RB Leipzig would part ways in the upcoming transfer window not only with Timo Werner but also with Lukas Klostermann, Amadou Haidara & Kevin Kampl. All four players can leave the club without major transfer fee negotiations. Combined salary budget/year: around 30 million €
@SkySportDE
The foursome represents four different ways players can fall out of favor:
- Werner: A series of bad career decisions.
- Klostermann: Can’t stay healthy.
- Amadou Haidara: Other players need minutes.
- Kampl: Aging out.

Bayer Munich is on break and the German national team has taken center stage, but that does not mean we are bereft of topics.
Luckily for all of us, there is much to talk about when it comes to both Bayern Munich, so let’s get to it. This is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works Show:
- What to watch for during this international break — it might not necessarily be what you think.
- Robert Lewandowski might be contemplating retirement and why that is a little shocking even though he is 37-years-old.
- Gazing into the Crystal Ball — an early look at Bayern Munich’s final games before the winter break.
Bayern to make massive move for Olmo? (TeamTalk)
File this under bizarre and extremely unlikely, but one report is pointing Bayern Munich toward a pursuit of FC Barcelona attacker Dani Olmo:
Bayern Munich are preparing to submit a huge €75million (£66m / $87m) bid for Barcelona ace Dani Olmo, it has been claimed.
Spanish outlet Fichajes suggest Olmo ‘could soon leave Barcelona‘ as they are ‘considering his departure’ amid strong interest from Bayern. The ‘formal offer’ from the German giants will supposedly arrive in January, and it follows them ‘closely watching’ him in recent months.
Bayern allegedly believe Barcelona will sell Olmo for €75m and have made him a ‘strategic attacking target’ for 2026. Fichajes claim Olmo is weighing up whether to continue pursuing his Barca dream or return to Germany, where he won three domestic cups with Leipzig.
Barca want to sell at least one valuable asset next year to improve their financial situation, and Olmo is among those at risk.
Bayern Munich has been linked to Olmo in the past, bit it would seem like a major longshot for the Bavarians to go after Olmo now.
Hammers prepping for life after Füllkrug (TEAMtalk)
With Niclas Füllkrug wanting out, West Ham United is looking at what things could look like without the German striker (Spoiler Alert: Maybe not much different given his vast injury history):
West Ham are stepping up their search for a new forward for the January market as Niclas Fullkrug’s future is cast into fresh doubt, TEAMtalk can reveal. The Hammers were already setting a new striker as a priority for the next transfer window but the situation could be cemented if Fullkrug leaves.
West Ham are currently putting the feelers out for new options in attack, but their budget for the next transfer window is going to be limited. They have shown patience with Fullkrug and are not pushing him to leave, but will weigh up offers if they arrive.
First up, Juventus are starting to hope there might yet be a chance of Dusan Vlahovic staying at the club, as four Premier League clubs wait on standby for a decision, with West Ham and Tottenham among them, TEAMtalk understands.
Elsewhere, Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee finds himself at the centre of a January transfer storm, with AC Milan’s renewed interest just one thread in a complex web of suitors, with West Ham also in the mix along with four other Premier League sides, TEAMtalk understands.

Alonso confident Wirtz will succeed (Fabrizio Romano)
Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso can see his old pupil, Florian Wirtz, struggling at Liverpool, but thinks that this pain will only be temporary:
🫂🇩🇪 Xabi Alonso on Florian Wirtz: “He’s sure to succeed, I have no doubt. It’s just a matter of time”.
“It’s a big change for him, he’s spent his whole life in Germany. He has to adapt. He’s very competitive, which is one of the reasons he’s here”.
United to officially give up on Sancho? (Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke)
Jadon Sancho’s career odyssey should be a cautionary tale for young players. Once considered a phenom, the 25-year-old has struggled (again) this season while on loan with Aston Villa:
Man United see no future for Jadon Sancho at the club after his early struggles at Aston Villa, sources have told Football Insider. Sancho joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan over the summer yet has struggled to become one of Unai Emery‘s go-to players since his arrival.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the winger must improve performances if he wants to resurrect his dwindling career. Sources told Football Insider that Sancho is unlikely to head back to Man United in January and is expected to see out the season at his loan club.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “I don’t think there’s a long-term future for Sancho in Manchester in any way. He was part of that bomb squad in the summer that they were looking to get rid of and they were more than happy for him to go to Aston Villa. I don’t see any way back in the long-term at Man United. And as I said, with no break clause in that loan deal, it seems that Sancho will stay at Villa and he’ll be hoping between now and the rest of season he can make an impact and win favor with Unai Emery.”
