An interesting draft story continued to develop this week that the Las Vegas Raiders will likely keep tabs of.
The tough luck of Clemson standout cornerback Avieon Terrell continued. Monday, he held a private pro day after he was forced to sit out his school’s pro day because of an injury. However, on his first run of his workout, Terrell re-aggravated his hamstring injury, cutting short the workout.
That’s a tough break for a top prospect just weeks away from the draft. His injury status could affect
Terrell’s draft status.
He was considered a clear first-round pick, but his injuries could drop him. We’ve seen it before. In fact last season, Michigan cornerback Will Johnson fall from an expected top-10 pick to being selected at No. 47 by the Arizona Cardinals because he couldn’t wok out in the pre-draft process due to injuries. So, Terrell could be facing the same fate.
The Raiders could use another cornerback and could be interested in him if he falls to the second round. Do you like the idea of the Raiders drafting Terrell at No. 36 or do the injuries worry you?
