Happy Friday, folks!
The Bruins extended their winning streak to four games last night, defeating the Jets in Winnipeg by a score of 6-3.
Highlights from that game included:
- A four-point night from David Pastrnak, who contributed two goals and two assists in over 21 minutes TOI. Showing little rust from being out, Pastrnak landed seven shots on goal on the evening.
- Multi-point nights from Elias Lindholm (1G, 1A) and Morgan Geekie (3A).
- The return of Charlie McAvoy, who jumped right back into the fray with the second-highest ice time total on the team (24:16).
The power play was an asset for the Bruins on Thursday night, as they went 2-for-2 on the evening.
You can check out the full highlights here.
In case you missed it, the Bruins also unveiled their jerseys for February’s Stadium Series last night, featuring a football-inspired gold set-up.
The B’s will now have a bit of weird road time
off, as they won’t play again until Sunday evening in Minnesota. Plenty of time to explore scenic Winnipeg and/or the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
If they choose the latter, maybe they can get seasonal and go on a guided tour of filming locations for the all-time holiday classic Jingle All the Way, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad, which was filmed in the Twin Cities.
Ta ta, Turboman.
The B’s-Wild game is at the somewhat odd time of 6 PM Eastern, so there’s just weirdness all around, I guess.
The Wild will be hosting Ottawa at Grand Casino Arena (I didn’t know it had a new name) on Saturday afternoon before welcoming the Bruins on Sunday evening, so the B’s should be at a slight advantage in terms of rest/energy.
Other than that, we have a light Friday on the books. It’s windy and cold in Boston, so…happy times.
What’s on tap for today?
