According to Chris Thomasson of the Denver Gazette, the Denver Broncos have cut wide receiver/return specialist Kolbe Katsis today.
Katsis signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 NFL Draft. He is an interesting prospect given his speed and return ability and that was something we noted could give him a shot to stick around long-term:
If Katsis can use his speed to make plays down the field while showing he can be a potential weapon in the return
game, he could make some noise this summer. It’ll be a tough competition, but of the undrafted rookie wide receivers, I believe he has the best shot of sticking around.
While he had his moments during the preseason – including a 40-yard kick return against the Green Bay Packers – the Broncos wide receiver room is just too stacked for an UDFA rookie to come in and shake things up. He could end up on the practice squad as a reserve returner.
