With National Signing Day not too far off in the distance, the Texas Longhorn staff is evaluating options to try to fill out their recruiting class. Steve Sarkisian is still looking to add dynamic playmakers
to the offensive side of the ball, and they found one in four-star Forney (TX) North Forney athlete Legend Bey.
Bey is one of the most dynamic athletes in the Metroplex this cycle after putting up over 1800 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns from the quarterback position in 2024. Yesterday, Sarkisian and his staff decided to extend an offer to Bey and enter the mix for his recruitment.
Bey has been committed to Tennessee since the summer after taking an official visit to Knoxville, but things have begun to heat up around his recruitment with Ohio State and now Texas showing legitimate interest.
With the Buckeyes and Longhorns pushing in this recruitment, it seems like Tennessee is going to have a fight on its hands down the home stretch of this cycle. The Longhorns only have two wide receiver commits currently for their class in Kohen Brown and Chris Stewart. They are still heavily in pursuit of Jalen Lott and now Bey, so there could potentially be some late cycle fireworks for the Longhorns.
