Three former Rutgers men’s lacrosse players were named all-stars by the Premier Lacrosse League, as former Scarlet Knights Ethan Rall, Ross Scott, and Shane Knobloch were selected among the best players in the league and received the honor earlier this week. All three will now compete in the PLL All-Star game, which is slated for Sunday, July 5, at 2 p.m.
Both Scott and Knobloch will play for the Western Conference as both play on the same team, the Carolina Chaos. Scott was recently named captain
of the Chaos and has posted strong offensive production to start the year. In the first five games of the season, Scott has recorded nine goals and 10 total points. Knobloch has also been great offensively to start the season as well, scoring seven goals over the team’s first five games.
Both Scott and Knobloch were three-time all-conference selections during their years at Rutgers, with both also earning all-American status at least three times.
Rall will represent Rutgers on the PLL’s eastern conference team as a member of the Boston Cannons. Through five games so far this season, Rall has recorded seven ground balls, six caused turnovers, and one goal. He was also a three-time all-American and all-Conference selection while at Rutgers.
This is the first time for all three athletes that they will be competing in the league’s All-Star game.
