The Dallas Mavericks (19-32) head south to play the same team they lost to on Thursday, the San Antonio Spurs (35-16). These two teams played just two days ago and while the Mavericks put up a spirited fight, the Spurs had too much for Dallas to contend with. To see if the Mavericks can push past them tonight, tune in on Amazon Prime. There’s also supposed to be a Dirk-Cooper Flagg interview right around 5 pm.
Heres the main things you need to know before tipoff.
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs San Antonio Spurs
- WHAT: Division rivals clash, again
- WHERE: Frost Bank Center, San Antonio, Texas
- WHEN: 5:00 pm CST
- HOW: Amazon Prime
On the injury report, all of the new
guys have “trade pending” still, but three of the four are probable. Khris Middleton is doubtful, which is making our staff wonder if he’s getting bought out and the player and team are haggling. That would create a slot for one of the two way guys to join the Mavericks on a standard contract. All of the two-way guys are marked as doubtful, so don’t expect any Ryan Nembhard or Moussa Cisse. PJ Washington has cleared concussion protocol, which is good and Brandon Williams is listed as probable.

On the Spurs side, De’Aaron Fox, Jeremy Sochan, and Luke Kornet are all questionable. Lindy Waters is out for this game.
Beating any team two games in a row is hard and this largely comes down to can the Mavericks get enough out of the new guys and do the Spurs come into this one sleepwalking. This game is at a weird time and NBA players live off of rhythem, so its hard to say what that 5pm start will mean.

Consider joining Josh and me on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start LATE. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
