The 3-3 Las Vegas Raiders host the 2-4 Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is 1:25 p.m. PT.
Here are some things to consider about the Rams:
They can move the ball:
The Rams have their problems, but the numbers say they are doing some things right. They have outgained their opponents by 644 yards this season. That’s an average of 107.3 yards a game. That is a testament to both sides of the ball. It shows the Rams are playing well in some areas.
They’re losing close games:
In their
last three losses, the Rams have been outscored by a total of nine points with the biggest deficit being four points. They are 2-4 with a total points deficit of three points.
Defensive line decimated:
In addition to playing with starting wide receiver, former Raider, Davante Adams, the Rams’ defensive front, an expected NFL force, has been ravaged by injuries. They are without star defensive end Myles Garrett and standout defensive tackle Poona Ford and Kobie Turner. The Raiders might be able to get the ground game going Sunday.
Aaron Donald snap counts:
With Turner and Ford out, Aaron Donald may see more playing time. He has averaged playing 58.6 percent of the Rams’ defensive snaps in the four games he has played this season after he returned from retiring for the past two seasons. So the Raiders may see a lot of the 35-year-old future Hall of Famer.
New quarterbacks coming:
While this game will feature veteran quarterbacks Matthew Stafford and Kirk Cousins, the next time these two teams play will likely feature 2026 first-round picks Fernando Mendoza and Ty Simpson, the No. 1 and No. 13 overall draft picks. Both players did well in the preseason. Mendoza has mopped up in one game, while Simpson hasn’t played this season.
