Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich soaked up the disappointment of his squad’s 5-4 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, but was quick to note that the Bavarians never gave up even in the most dire situation against PSG.
“It’s not easy to keep your cool at 5-2 down in such an atmosphere. That’s what sets our team apart this season. In the past few years, we’d have capitulated in such a situation,” Kimmich said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Fellow midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović echoed
his teammate’s sentiment.
“We never give up and we’ll give everything next week to reach the final,” Pavlović (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Finally, Kimmich offered a brief statement of confidence as the tie will move to Germany, where the Bavarians will be eager to prove their mettle.
“I’m confident that we can come back. I’m really looking forward [to the second leg],” Kimmich told TNT Sports (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
