Conor McGregor appears to be in good enough fight shape for his anticipated rematch with Max Holloway next month at UFC 329, but some fight fans are worried how “Notorious” is carrying himself just two weeks out from his return.
From what we know, McGregor is a changed man ahead of his long-awaited comeback fight. It’s been five years since fight fans last saw “Notorious” compete, but it swears he has changed his ways ahead of UFC 329. This has resulted in a more focused and dedicated McGregor, which
has always been the most dangerous version of the Irish superstar.
That said, some fans are not pleased at the current fight shape that McGregor is in with just 14 days left until his return. Remember, it was McGregor who requested his rematch with Holloway be contested at 170 pounds. This gives McGregor a big advantage over Holloway, who just moved up to lightweight last year. That is, of course, if McGregor comes into the fight in good shape and uses his bigger body to his advantage.
On Friday, McGregor was spotted shirtless at Laguna Beach in California and it has already sparked a debate among fight fans. Check out the footage below along with all of the different reaction and let us know your thoughts!
“Honestly, he looks old. Kind of feel bad for Conor cause I think he’s in the right place but I think it may be just too late. We’ll see if he proves the doubters is wrong once again.”
“I’ve learned never to count McGregor out, but this doesn’t inspire much confidence.”
“Two weeks to the fight and Conor looks like he’s been training for an all you can eat buffet instead of Max Holloway. At this rate, the only thing getting knocked out is his diet. Hope those left hands still weigh less than the belly.”
“He is in shape alright. We may see a great fight. He has to avoid calf kicks at all costs.”
“Looks like he’s auditioning for a superhero movie, not a fight, hope the cape fits when the bell rings.”
“You can tell he was like 200 pounds because he looking lean now.”
“Decent chance he fails to make weight for the first time ever.”
“Looking shredded Conor! That fight camp is paying off.”
“Don’t look in shape to me.”
“Bro looks heaps old.”
