The inevitable has happened — Tennessee will have a jersey patch sponsorship deal starting this Saturday in the home opener against Furman. The news comes just days before that first game of the 2026 season, with First Horizon Bank jumping on board after inking a ten-year deal.
Tennessee officially revealed the news on Tuesday afternoon.
This follows the men’s and women’s basketball teams, which signed a deal
with Axle Logistics a couple of weeks ago. The writing was on the wall from there, with football signing a football-only deal now with First Horizon.
The deal is for 10 years, reportedly worth $120 million.
“For more than 30 years, First Horizon has been an indispensable partner to Tennessee Athletics, and we are proud to extend this remarkable collaboration,” said Tennessee Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Danny White. “In this dynamic era of college athletics, we are confident in First Horizon’s ability to provide the resources and leadership needed to keep our programs competitive while safeguarding the integrity of our brand and uniforms. The First Horizon name is synonymous with excellence, vision, and a commitment to progress, values that mirror those of Tennessee Athletics.”
As far as the look, as promised, the sponsorship patch is orange and white and blends in nicely with the jersey. The patch is on the shoulder, which kicks the SEC logo to the center spot of the jersey. Notably, the ‘Power T’ logo is no longer on the jersey.
Volleyball, soccer, track and field, golf, tennis, cross country, swimming and diving, and rowing will also carry the First Horizon sponsorship patches.
