While the Orange were surviving against UConn in overtime, they were adding another commitment to the 2026 class.
York, PA running back/wide receiver Shavane Anderson committed to Syracuse during his weekend visit according to Mike McAllister of 247 Sports.
Anderson is rated a three-star recruit by 247, which has him as the
48th best player in Pennsylvania in his class. The 6’1” 195 lb Anderson had offers from Kent State and Old Dominion. He’s the 29th commit in the class, which 247 has ranked 24th in the country. Here’s a look at Anderson in action this season:
Last night Syracuse picked up two 2027 commits: Davion Crumitie from Tallahassee, FL and Tristin Hughes of Rocky River, Ohio. Crumitie is a 5’11 160 pound speedster who also had offers from Georgia Tech and Illinois. 247 rates him the 45 best player in Florida in the 2027 class. He seems to fit the ideal slot receiver mold with his sub 11 second 100m speed.
Hughes is 6’1” and 190 pounds and seems to be recruited as a defensive back by Syracuse. The Orange were his only P4 offer and here’s a look at his highlights from this Fall.
The 2027 Syracuse class is currently ranked 4th in the nation by 247.
