Magomed Ankalaev is UFC light heavyweight champion.
That might impress the “Big Ank” fans who stood and cheered when Ankalaev defeated Alex Pereira to capture the 205-pound crown, but former UFC light heavyweight kingpin, Quinton Jackson, remains unimpressed.
In fact, “Rampage” believes Ankalaev would fold against a “prime” Jackson.
“I would sell every materialistic item that I own right now to buy a time machine,” a confident Jackson said on the HJR Podcast. “Go back in time and come back as prime
Rampage in the UFC right now. Everything but my soul.”
“Prime Rampage would be unstoppable in the UFC right now,” Jackson continued. “Ankalaev, that Dagestani (expletive), I would f**k his a** up. Everybody. I would be like, ‘Move b*tch!’ I’ll go right through that f**king weight class.”
That’s now how time machines work, but I get the point he’s trying to make.
Ankalaev will have an opportunity to retain his title when he rematches Pereira atop the UFC 320 fight card next month in Las Vegas. As for Jackson, now 47, he’s been out of action since getting smoked by Fedor Emelianenko as part of the Bellator 237 event back in late 2019.
