I’m glad the news of Husker Softball getting the number one ranking could distract me for a little bit yesterday. Much of the rest of the day was spent being angry at the post office and the passport office. Over a month ago we applied for passports for my two sons. In order to do that you have to fill out the application and send in pictures, money, drivers license copies, and a copy of as well as their actual certified birth certificates.
These things take time so I was patiently waiting, but thought
that five weeks was a lot not to hear anything. Well it is. The passport office never even got their applications and the post office does have a tracking number for it but doesn’t actually know where it is. I’m thrilled that not only is all of my kids’ information out there lost in the world, but that I also have to reorder birth certificates, cancel checks, and probably pay for expedited passports. There has got to be a better way to issue passports.
Anyway, I hope your Monday went better than mine.
