When you watch Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović ply his trade, you see an intense competitor, but you do not necessarily see a brawler.
During Bayern Munich’s 2-0 win over RB Leipzig, Pavlović seemed like he was ready to take on all comers after Jamal Musiala took a hard foul. Afterward, Pavlović basically echoed The Wire and said it was all in the game.
“I’ve already said before the game that I was fired up for it. The Pokal is extremely important for us and we’re determined to win it. I think
we’ve seen that today,” Pavlović said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I was a bit too aggressive, that shouldn’t happen to me. But emotions are part of football. Jamal (Musiala) was fouled unnecessarily, so I was angry. I should actually be calm, but in that situation it was for Jamal.”
Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich had to restrain Pavlović from getting anything more than the yellow card he was assessed. It was good to see Pavlović get so defensive of his teammate, which shows just how tight this squad has become this season.
