It is a rare occurrence, saved for only the truly bad NFL franchises to hold the first overall pick in back-to-back NFL Drafts. It has only happened four times since 1986. The Tennessee Titans are currently on track to make it happen for the fifth time. With both the New York Jets and the New Orleans Saints winning today, the Titans currently hold the first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Here is the current draft order for the 2026 NFL Draft:
- Tennessee Titans 1-8
- New Orleans Saints 2-8
- New York Giants 2-8
- Cleveland Browns 2-7
- New York Jets 2-7
- Las Vegas Raiders 2-7
- Miami Dolphins 3-7
- Washington Commanders 3-7
- Cincinnati Bengals 3-6
- Los Angeles Rams (via the Atlanta Falcons 3-6)
There is still a lot of football left to be played, so there
will be a lot of movement in the order over the next two months. The Titans have a stronger strength of schedule than all of the teams with two wins, so they could move down significantly if they win a game.
It is also worth noting that the Titans still have games against the Browns and Saints. Those games will have significant ramifications in the 2026 NFL Draft order.
