The New Orleans Saints fell to 1-4 following Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings at Caesars Superdome, marking their third consecutive loss at home. New Orleans will now look to bounce back on the road as they prepare to face the New York Giants (3-1-1).
The Saints are desperately looking for answers on how to turnaround a season that started with so much excitement amd promise. However, turnovers, inconsistent execution and defensive struggles have prevented them from putting together a complete
performance.
The Giants, now led by John Harbaugh, have shown vast improvement this season. With starting quarterback Jaxson Dart dealing with a knee injury, former Saints quarterback Jameis Winston has stepped in to lead New York’s offense alongside Cam Skattabo and Malik Nabors.
One of the biggest challenges for the Saints will be protecting Tyler Shough against a talented Giants pass rush. Defensively, they must find ways to pressure the quarterback, limit explosive plays and force turnovers.
With the season approaching the midway point, the Saints can’t afford to keep letting opportunities slip away. They have got to build some momentum and find a way to turn their season around before it’s too late.
According to FanDuel, the Saints are currently 1.5-point underdogs to the Giants, with an over/under of 44.5 points. However, those odds could move as kickoff approaches.
