Bayern lower asking price on Kim (Kicker via BuLiNews)
According to a report from Kicker, Bayern Munich is set to lower its asking price on center-back Kim Min-jae in hopes of being able to sell him this summer:
According to Kicker, Bayern have lowered their asking price and are now prepared to accept offers in the region of €20-25 million for the 29-year-old centre-back.
The problem with selling Kim is not necessarily the transfer fee, though, but his salary. With an all-in (salary + bonus) package of €15 million, it would be tough for many clubs to justify
that kind of salary for a player who is a 29-year-old backup.
Lowering the fee from what was rumored to be €35 million is a step in the right direction if Bayern Munich truly wants to unload Kim, but it might take another step down from the rumored numbers above (€20-25 million) to allow a potential buyer to balance the transfer fee and the salary.
Juve, City eyeing Díaz (ESPN)
Juventus and Manchester City are both scoping our Real Madrid attacker Brahim Díaz:
Juventus and Manchester City are looking at Real Madrid attacking midfielder Brahim Díaz, Corriere dello Sport reports. The Bianconeri are keen to land a difference-maker in the final third this summer, and manager Luciano Spalletti is reportedly keen on the 26-year-old. A deal could be difficult to secure him amid belief that he would prefer to stay put at the Bernabéu beyond this summer, while the Serie A club could also face competition from Manchester City. Díaz scored for Morocco in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Norway in a pre-World Cup friendly.
Falk breaks down Bayern, Brown situation (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Sport Bild journalist broke down Bayern Munich’s interest in Nathaniel Brown and how it affects Alphonso Davies:
I talked a lot about Nathaniel Brown with both clubs, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich. FC Bayern initially weren’t moving for this big talent, but their minds have since changed! That’s because Alphonso Davies racked up a lot of missed minutes through injury last season and because of the concrete interest from Arsenal and Real Madrid (and, I hear, from Enzo Maresca at Manchester City) in Brown. So, Bayern know that if they don’t move for the 22-year-old left-back now, they won’t sign this player for the future. And my goodness, does he have a big future!
He’s with the German national team here in the States and is fighting with David Raum for the left-back spot for the World Cup team. I heard that Bayern Munich already knocked on the door of Frankfurt, but sporting director Markus Krösche is saying he won’t sell Nathaniel Brown for less than €60m [£51.9m], and he’s ideally looking for €65m [£56.2m]. He knows that if he performs at the World Cup, the price is only going to go up. So, Frankfurt are happy to wait. Nathaniel Brown himself would love to play for Bayern Munich. There’s already been contact with the player, and there’s no problem with securing personal terms; he’d love to make this next step.
If it happens and Bayern have to pay such a high amount, perhaps they could sell Alphonso Davies to Saudi Arabia, as there is interest. With other clubs, there’s always going to be a problem with a high price tag and a salary of €20m [£17.2m]. This could be a big problem for a player who spent much of the 2025/26 season injured.
City launches massive bid for Anderson (ESPN)
Manchester City might be ready to drop a massive amount of money for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson:
Manchester City have made a British-record bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, sources have told ESPN.
City’s verbal offer is understood to be worth £106 million ($142m) with potential performance-related add-ons taking the value beyond £120m ($161m). Sources have told ESPN that Forest value Anderson at £120m before bonuses. The 23-year-old is also wanted by Manchester United while City are also keeping tabs on Sandro Tonali’s situation at Newcastle in case the move for Anderson fails.
City have already seen one bid for Anderson, worth around £85m, knocked back by Forest. The new offer would eclipse the current record transfer fee for a British player of £105m, paid by Arsenal to West Ham for Declan Rice in 2023.
Gunners eyeing Williams (TEAMtalk)
Arsenal could be taking a close look at Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams:
TEAMtalk can reveal that Arsenal remain firmly in the hunt for Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, with sources explaining why hopes remain that a deal can be done and with the Spain international still viewed as one of the club’s standout attacking targets.
Williams has been on Arsenal’s radar since the summer of 2024, and sources have confirmed that interest from the Gunners has ‘never gone away’, despite the forward committing his future to a mammoth new Athletic Bilbao contract last summer.
Williams was a big target for Bayern Munich last summer, but he opted to ink a new deal with Athletic Bilbao instead of a move to Bavaria or FC Barcelona.
Sancho to BVB could happen (Football Insider’s Callum O’Connell)
Jadon Sancho might want to return to Borussia Dortmund…again:
Jadon Sancho is set for talks over a return to Borussia Dortmund following the end of his successful year-long Aston Villa loan spell. The 26-year-old is still under contract with Man United, but his deal is set to expire at the end of this month, placing the German club on high alert.
