Indiana football is looking to add onto its defensive line through the 2027 high school recruiting pool, offering another edge rusher this week.
Wyatt Thomas, who plays at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shared that he’d recently been extended a scholarship offer from the program via social media, becoming the program’s latest target at the position. Wyatt is rated as a 4-star by both 247Sports and On3/Rivals, ranking in as the 11th highest-rated edge rusher and 78th highest rated prospect
overall in the former’s composite ranking and as the 11th highest-rated edge rusher and 79th highest-rated prospect overall in the latter’s industry ranking.
The Hoosiers have prided themselves on defensive line play since Curt Cignetti arrived in Bloomington, employing separate position coaches for edge rushers and defensive tackles. As an edge rusher, Wyatt would be working with Buddha Williams. Indiana has mostly filled its starting spots via transfers in Cignetti’s first two seasons in Bloomington as the staff has stressed the high school pipeline for a more long-term build.
