AAA kicks off the first of two nights for the Triplemania 34 event spanning across countries. Night 1 emanates from Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday night (Sep. 11, 2026). Most of the card is a showcase for lucha libre talent. However, the main event has giant ramifications.
Rey Mysterio battles Omos. The tale of the tape is 5 feet 6 inches versus 7 feet 3 inches. The story element revolves around Mysterio using his AAA general manager power to suspend Omos. The big man also happens to be the bodyguard
for Dominik Mysterio. No doubt that Dirty Dom plans to have Omos help cheat to defeat El Grande Americano in the main event of Triplemania 34 Night 2 in Mexico City on Sunday.
Part of Dominik’s Mega Championship conditions to sign the contract was to reinstate Omos. Rey didn’t budge, so Omos budged him. Rey lost his cool and arranged this showdown with a stipulation. If Omos wins, then the giant’s suspension is over. If Rey wins, then Omos leaves AAA forever.
AAA Triplemania 34 Night 1 airs at 10 pm ET on the WWE YouTube channel for most of the world.
Let’s break down the show with some predictions.
WWE AAA TRIPLEMANIA 34 NIGHT 1 PREDICTIONS
Rey Mysterio vs. Omos (If Omos wins, his suspension is lifted; If Rey wins, Omos leaves AAA forever)
Josh Jagler: Unless Omos is headed back to the main roster, it feels like a slam dunk that he’d win this match. Although, come to think of it, if Dom loses the Mega Championship, he could feasibly move on from AAA, and adding Omos to Judgment Day could be a way to add some new energy to that faction. At the end of the day, I think Rey’s feud with Dorian’s crew is going to continue, and Omos winning here is a big reason it does. Pick: Omos
Sean Rueter: Rey’s gonna need to pick up a win at some point, but I think EGA needs to overcome Mysterio’s estranged son at full strength on Sunday. Pick: Omos
Manolo H. Pizzazz: AAA can build up Omos like a true giant, and it will be believable in that company. All the more sweeter when a luchador finally chops him down. But first, Rey needs to eat the loss. Pick: Omos
AAA World Trios Championship: Psycho Circus (c) vs. Los Perros del Mal
Josh Jagler: I can’t be the only one who completely forgot that Psycho Circus is even holding these championships, right? Those titles seem to have Los Perros’ name on them, and I would be unbelievably surprised if they didn’t walk out with a win in this one. Pick: Los Perros del Mal
Sean Rueter: Man, I love these crazy clowns. The fact that they’re an ongoing thing at all, let alone good guys, is a reason I adore lucha libre. It’s just one of those fascinating cultural quirks of global pro wrestling that I hope we never lose, but fear we will. But this is Triplemania! Let’s be happy! Although, it’s also only night one, so the rudos will probably reign. And I agree with my two colleagues, both of whom are more versed in 2026 AAA than I: I forgot these belts existed, and PdM2.0 can not afford another marquee L. Pick: Perros del Mal
Manolo H. Pizzazz: Los Perros desperately need a win to sniff the legacy of the old Perros. If they lose here, might as well disband the group. Pick: Los Perros del Mal
AAA Latin American Championship: La Parka (c) vs. Mr. Iguana vs. Laredo Kid
Josh Jagler: La Parka’s title reign is just getting started. This is a fine way to get some fan favorites on the card, as well as Laredo Kid, who I find to be terribly underrated. At the end of the day, I’m not sure I see a great reason to take the title off of La Parka so quickly, so I bet he retains. Pick: La Parka
Sean Rueter: The only reason I’d go with La Yesca’s handler is marketing related. But WWE is pushing the newest chair rockin’ skeleton man because they think they can move a lot of chair rockin’ skeleton man merch, so… Pick: The Chair Rockin’ Skeleton Man
Manolo H. Pizzazz: Too soon for a hot potato title switch. Pick: La Parka
#1 contender for AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: Roxanne Perez vs. Faby Apache vs. Natalya vs. La Hiedra (winner challenges at Worlds Collide)
Josh Jagler: The location of the future title match sort of gives away the ending. Faby or La Hiedra winning doesn’t fit the gimmick of that show, so I gotta believe it’ll be either Roxy or Nattie. Nattie’s been to AAA before, so I bet this is a way to get Roxanne some more exposure and a high profile match. Pick: Roxanne! Perez
Sean Rueter: Lowkey her legend may be, but y’all need to put some respect on The BOAT’s name. Pick: Natalya
Manolo H. Pizzazz: I’m tempted to pick Roxanne for the Worlds Collide gimmick, but that would require WWE to allow her to lose in Chicago. WWE often favors their talent over AAA, and I don’t see her winning the title. A random heel beating Flammer would be a letdown to ending her reign. Roxanne beating La Catalina would kneecap the Chilean before she gets a chance to flourish. All that to say I think WWE avoids this altogether and gives an opportunity to help grow a luchadora toward a potential promotion. Pick: La Hiedra
LWO vs. Los Americanos vs. Tokyo Bad Boys vs. Fraxiom (elimination match)
Josh Jagler: The LWO has added some excitement to AAA this year, but rarely seems to pick up any wins. Los Americanos just had a shot at tag gold recently. The Tokyo Bad Boys haven’t won a AAA match since March. It feels like Fraxiom is the team in the best spot to pick up a win. Pick: Fraxiom
Sean Rueter: Just to spread out the wins, I’m going with the team that’s still NXT Tag champs in my mind. Pick: Fraxiom
Manolo H. Pizzazz: I have a sneaking suspicion that the winners will answer the open challenge on Night 2. Bravo and Rayo need a rematch against the War Raiders on Mexican turf. Pick: Los Americanos
Adelicious, Mascarita Sagrada, & Mini Vikingo vs. Lady Shani, Jack Cartwheel, & Mini Abismo Negro
Josh Jagler: This is by far the most random match on the card, but it’ll still be a ton of fun. The only real Night 2 implications are with the two cruiserweights, so I bet neither is involved in the pinfall. My bet is that Lady Shani gets the win over Adelicious. Pick: Lady Shani, Jack Cartwheel, and Mini Abismo Negro
