BYU Basketball returns to the Marriott Center Saturday night to take on the Houston Cougars.
The BYU Cougars find themselves struggling, having lost 3 consecutive games — To no. 1 Arizona, no. 11 Kansas,
and most recently, to Oklahoma State. BYU played at Oklahoma State on Wednesday night, losing by a final score of 99-92. The Cougars are 17-5 overall with a 5-4 record in the Big 12.
The Houston Cougars are having a stunning season, with a 20-2 overall record and just one loss in conference play (8-1). The conference loss was on Jan. 24 to Texas Tech. The Cougars’ other loss was to Tennessee back on Nov. 25. Houston last played on Wednesday against UCF, with Houston winning by a final score of 79-55.
BYU and Houston will only meet this one time in regular season play. Saturday marks the 12th meeting between the two teams, with Houston having the 8-3 edge, including a 3-1 record in Provo.
