We are officially on to Week 2 in the National Football League, and the Minnesota Vikings will once again be featured across the majority of the country on broadcast television this weekend as they travel to the Windy City for another NFC North matchup, this one against the Chicago Bears.
The folks from 506 Sports have released their coverage maps for this week’s games, and the Vikings/Bears game will be the featured matchup for the majority of folks in their early window on FOX. Here is that map,
with the Vikings/Bears game being represented by the blue area.
The other colors on the map represent the following games:
- Red: Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans
- Green: Green Bay Packers at New York Jets
- Yellow: Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons
The Vikings will also get a quality announcing team for this one, as Joe Davis and Greg Olsen will be in the booth to handle the call for Sunday’s contest.
But a pretty decent chunk of the country, including almost the entire midwest (except for Wisconsin, and hey. . .that’s not our fault) will be getting the Vikings/Bears game, as will central Florida and Hawai’i for reasons I’m not entirely sure of.
Kickoff for this one is set for the proper noon Central Time kickoff on FOX, including KMSP-9 in the Twin Cities area. If you’re not in the blue area, you’re likely going to have to rely on YouTube TV Sunday Ticket.
