Men’s Tennis saw head coach Harry Jadun step aside after four years at head coach to pursue opportunties outside of coaching. Jadun led Michigan State to the #1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and would go on to win another championship in a great season. Assistant coach Mike Flowers has been named head coach in Jadun’s place.
Men’s Hockey saw an addition to the coaching staff with Andy Contois joining as an assistant coach. Contois previously worked at Northern Michigan, the Youngstown
Phantoms, and the Indy Fuel.
Track & Field wrapped up their regular in Ann Arbor this weekend at the Len Paddock Open. The Big Ten Championships will take place from May 15-17 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Women’s Golf is headed to North Carolina to play in the NCAA Chapel Hill Region with a three-day tournament starting Monday, May 11th. NC State and High Point will tee off with the Spartans on Monday morning.
Football has its schedule coming together with the program announcing that the home opener against Toledo has been moved up a day to Friday, September 4th. It has become tradition with the Spartans opening up the season on a Friday. The program also announced they’ll play on Friday, November 20th against Oregon on FOX. They’ll play Notre Dame on Saturday, September 19th at 7:30 PM on NBC.
