Colorado Avalanche organization as of September 1, 2026. Despite five different players receiving number one votes, goaltender Ilya Nabokov retains the top spot as he embarks on his North American career now in Colorado. Both forward Christian Humphreys and defenseman Francesco Dell’Elce were our biggest risers moving up nine spots each. Both should be on Entry Level Contract watch this spring.
New for this season we ran a poll on X (twitter) asking our readers if each player’s ranking was Too High, Too Low or Just Right. Those with the most significant responses (over 60%) were Tory Pitner at Too High with 62% and Axel Eloffson at Too Low with 61%. One other interesting result was the poll on Sean Behrens ending up at #9, with responses split almost equally on the three choices.
