Over the weekend, Julian Champagnie hosted a basketball camp here in San Antonio. The registration filled up almost instantly. The demand for Champagnie is greater than ever. Fresh off the signing of his new three-year contract, he bought a home in the Dominion, signaling his intention to put down som roots in the Alamo City.
A couple of weeks ago, Champagnie participated in a meet-and-greet. Lines were around the block hours before the event was scheduled to start. While that sort of devotion is
standard procedure for Spurs events, it illustrates the fan’s reciprocal appreciation for Champagnie signing on to stay with the Silver & Black.
With barely a moment to take it all in, Julian has already added another meet-and-greet as well as a second basketball camp to his already busy schedule.
On Sunday, September 27, Champagnie is offering a basketball camp in San Marcos. Aimed at athletes from the 1st to 12th grade, there are limited spots available at $120 per attendee. Early registration includes a camp T-shirt, autographed photo, a personal photo with Champagnie, entry into all camp competitions, as well as awards and prizes.
The following day, Champagnie will be at Heroes & Fantasies. Beginning at 6:00 P.M. He’ll be signing autographs and taking photos at a ticketed meet-and-greet. The event cost $99 and a limit of 100 tickets were made available. See www.alamocardshow.com for details.
While there is still some time before the Spurs suit up, it is getting closer. Champagnie has managed to keep fans in a frenzy while continuing to spread joy in the community.
