We made it through the NFL offseason workouts and now sit in the dead period.
Our buddy Johnny from PHNX hit the nail on the head when he said this yesterday:
But that is another topic for another day.
Today, before the Supplemental Draft is set, before the conversations about Brendan Sorsby, Jacoby Brissett, draft capital, etc. continue we have a different question.
What position group are you most worried about before training camp?
For me, quarterback is the easy one, the front seven of the defense is easy as well, because it was bad and they didn’t add anything but a fourth round rookie unlikely to see the field in 2026.
No, for me it is the offensive line.
Why? Well, PJJ has regressed each of the last two years in on field production and health. He could be a cornerstone, but he has to be on the field for at least 15 games this season to really make this a locked down position.
The left guard, if it is Isaac Seumalo should be improved, but also a 33 year old being your best offensive lineman is probably not ideal.
Hjalte Froholdt is slowly declining in play with his age, but is still a solid anchor for 2026, but is a free agent after this year.
Those are the good spots on the offensive line by the way.
That is why I am interested and concerned about the offensive line. It has a lot of positives, but the question marks are real and now they are learning a new system.
