Former Bayern Munich academy prospect and current Bayer Leverkusen star Malik Tillman put on a show for the USMNT as he nailed a free kick for a second half goal to help lead his squad to a 2-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The goal was just one of the many great things that Tillman did on the night:
Tillman turned in an excellent all-around effort for a USMNT squad that
needed him to work hard at both ends of the pitch Aside of the goal, Tillman had a key pass, won two of his three tackles, and seven of his 11 ground duels to help keep the USMNT ahead of a very scrappy Bosnia and Herzegovina side.
Tillman’s rise as a professional has been excellent to watch and his maturity for the USMNT during the World Cup has been one of the enjoyable subplots for fans to follow.
Oh, and if you want to get into the contest to win Tillman’s autographed Bayer Leverkusen jersey, just check out this post on BFW.
Thanks again to Bayer Leverkusen for the partnership on this contest!
