Indiana men’s basketball head coach Darian DeVries sat down with Rob Dauster and Jeff Goodman of the Field of 68 for a wide-ranging interview covering a range of topics ahead of his first season with the program.
One of those topics was his team’s health. Jason Drake and Nick Dorn were unavailable during the program’s three games in Puerto Rico, with DeVries saying the timeline for each was up in the air
at the time.Dorn was practicing during the Field of 68’s stop in Bloomington, which Dauster noted.
DeVries said that Dorn is getting closer and closer to being fully back as the staff ramps up his activities, but it’ll be a while before he participates in live five-on-five action.
Drake is working his way back from a toe injury and Jasai Miles has a shoulder injury, Dauster noted. DeVries said both are progressing and it’ll be a “another month or so,” for Drake while Miles’ return will come “sooner than later.”
