CB Mansoor Delane
Another week, another great performance from Delane, and he is becoming one of the top players in the Defensive Rookie of the Year race. Delane is having one of the best rookie seasons we have seen from a DB in recent times, and he has been a major reason why the Chiefs are undefeated.
In Week 7, the Chiefs face the 2025/26 Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks, a team that hasn’t met expectations this season. Delane has a chance to get a turnover in this matchup.
Safety A.J. Haulcy
Against the Titans, Haulcy got injured
but returned. His impact was again minimal, so I wanted to talk about the Colts situation. Indianapolis just fired its general manager, and it looks like the head coach will be next. This could either be incredible for Haulcy or horrible. Given how high he was selected, any new coach will likely prioritize Haulcy’s potential, but they may not waste time on that if they prefer someone else. It’s going to be very interesting to see what happens.
WR Zavion Thomas
After seeing a rise in snaps in Week 5, Zavion Thomas had an even better game in Week 6. He went 3-for-3 on catches, and his speed after the catch was impressive. This positive trajectory for Thomas is exactly what you want to see from a rookie, and the Bears will likely get him even more involved against the Patriots in Week 7.
TE Bauer Sharp
It happened! Bauer Sharp finally got the first reception of his career, and it went for over 20 yards. Hopefully, this means Sharp will stay involved.
WR Barion Brown
I spoke about last week that Barion Brown needed to do better as a returner, and although it wasn’t perfect, he did just that against the Giants. He also made a great contested catch that showed some of the versatility he can bring to the offense.
In this week’s international game, the Saints will be in Paris, and it would be a great time for Brown to get the first return touchdown of his NFL career.
LB Harold Perkins
Interestingly, Perkins wasn’t used much against the Bears, but he did recover a fumble. There were injuries to the linebacker group, so it’s finally time for Perkins to take over the starting role, which will be a massive test to see if he can be a long-term option for Atlanta.
QB Garrett Nussmeier
Did not play because Patrick Mahomes is healthy.
EDGE Jack Pyburn
Was inactive for the Chiefs.
