Between the bye week visit whirlwind and the White Out, Penn State is in the midst of its most important recruiting stretch. But, high school stars who have already committed to the Nittany Lions are still
grinding away at their junior and senior seasons.
Four-star 2026 linebacker Terry Wiggins had an impressive game in Coatesville’s (PA) win over West Chester East (PA). Tyler Calvaruso from 247Sports was on-site to document much of his performance.
Wiggins’ full game tape is available on his Hudl page. By my count, he had two TFLs, a sack, a QBH, and two regular ol’ tackles. He also got plenty of special teams and offensive line work (at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, you might as well) and had a catch on offense. He shows great patience and play identification as a defender, regardless if he’s playing as an off-ball linebacker or down at defensive end. He’s considered Pennsylvania’s No. 6 overall player in his class by 247Sports.
Quarterback Troy Huhn continued his solid start to the season, earning a write-up on Rivals following his most recent performance. Mission Hills (San Marcos, CA) is now 5-0 thanks to an extremely efficient 15-for-17, 234-yard, five-touchdown day by Huhn. Highlights from his first four games are now up on Hudl.
Class of 2026 wideout Jahsier Rogers had a monster game of his own on Friday. Despite a close loss, Rogers scored three touchdowns and hit triple-digit receiving yards
Rogers, who hails from Middletown, Delaware, is the state’s No. 1 prospect in 247Sports’ Composite rankings. Oh, and James Franklin took a helicopter down to watch this game.
Class of 2026 four-star athlete/safety Matt Sieg became the WPIAL all-time leader in touchdowns Friday night with 118 scores, surpassing Lamont Wade and Tyler Boyd.
Sieg finished with 152 yards in the win, etching his name into Pennsylvania high school history. The kid is just a freak athlete, and Penn State will be happy whether he gets slotted into an offensive or defensive position at the next level.
Four-star TE/ATH Pierce Petersohn has some early-season highlights up now after struggling with a shoulder injury. He plays a lot of quarterback for Triton (Dodge Center, MN), but is clearly elusive and violent with the ball in his hands, and projects to play Tight End at the next level. Not going to make the Tyler Warren comparison quite yet, but it’s cool to see kids from areas outside of Penn State’s usual recruiting hotbeds wanting to come to Happy Valley to play tight end.
