According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, there is no agreement between Real Madrid and RB Leipzig for Yan Diomandé, despite news to the contrary:
🚨❌ As of this minute, absolutely nothing has been agreed between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid for Yan Diomande – not even an agreement in principle.
All parties involved have confirmed this: RB Leipzig, Real Madrid and the player’s camp. Reports claiming otherwise are simply incorrect.
Negotiations are ongoing. Leipzig remain relaxed.
No representatives from Real Madrid are currently on site. Real have the best chance at this stage, but even the transfer fee has not yet been agreed. PSG still involved. @SkySportDE
There have been plenty of reports indicating that it is a done deal, but Plettenberg says that is not the case. It is clear, however, that Diomandé is the clear target for Real Madrid, now that the LaLiga powerhouse realized that getting Bayern Munich star Michael Olise is a pipedream.
Expect this story to keep developing, especially with Bradley Barcola telling Paris Saint-Germain that he wants out.
This could turn into a bidding war, which would be a good thing for RB Leipzig — if it is resigned to the fact that it is losing Diomandé.
