The Steelers waived cornerback Daequan Hardy with an injury designation Tuesday, KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reported.
Hardy first joined the Steelers’ practice squad in November; he signed a reserve/futures contract following the 2025-26 season. A Penn Hills alumnus who played college football at Penn State, he had local connections to the team.
Hardy was a sixth-round pick in 2024 by the Buffalo Bills. It’s unclear what his current injury is.
Now, the Steelers’ cornerback
room consists of Joey Porter Jr., Jamel Dean, Jalen Ramsey, Brandin Echols, Asante Samuel Jr., Daylen Everette, Cory Trice Jr., Donte Kent, Doneiko Slaughter, and D’Shawn Jamison.
