For the third-straight recruiting class, Maryland men’s basketball has secured a 247Sports composite five-star recruit.
Baba Oladotun announced his commitment to the Terps on YouTube Wednesday. He’s the composite

The Silver Spring, Maryland, product is Maryland’s second highest-rated recruit in the 247Sports ratings era, only behind Diamond Stone in 2016. The 6-foot-10, 195-pound small forward averaged 22.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, three assists and 2.3 steals per game as a sophomore at James Hubert Blake High School in the 2024-25 season.
Oladotun reclassified from a 2027 recruit to a 2026 recruit in August. He averaged 16.5 points per game at the NBPA Top 100 showcase.
It’s an astronomical recruiting win for head coach Buzz Williams, who now has two five-star commitments — Oladotun and Darius Adams — in less than eight months as Maryland’s head coach. That duo is now poised to be the face of Maryland in 2026-27, and possibly beyond.
