According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, former Bayern Munich transfer target and Hertha Berlin phenom is about to ink a deal to join Bayer Leverkusen in what would be a massive signing for Die Werkself.
Eichhorn is regarded as one of Germany’s top midfield prospects and had drawn interest from the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool:

The 16 y/o gem has now given his final green light. Rejections
have been sent to all other clubs.
Eichhorn will join Leverkusen from Hertha BSC via a release clause worth €8-9m. Contract until 2031. Medical soon. The saga is over. @SkySportDE
Prior to this news, Plettenberg reported that Eichhorn had rejected RB Leipzig:

A final decision is expected within the next few minutes. Bayer 04 Leverkusen are now the clear favourites to sign the 16 y/o gem from Hertha BSC. @SkySportDE
Bayern Munich exited the race for Eichhorn when it was rumored that his entourage wanted a 10 million signing fee built into any deal. It remains to be see if Bayer Leverkusen had to include that offering in its proposal, but whatever deal was presented to Eichhorn must have been enough to get the transaction done.
