Thibaut Courtois: 8. Only had to make one save, but it was an outstanding intervention to preserve the clean sheet.
Trent Alexander-Arnold: 7. A quiet night statistically, but his advanced positioning consistently gave Bellingham, Güler, and Mbappé a valuable outlet on the right. Helped create several effective overloads.
Ibrahima Konaté: 7. Had relatively little defensive work to do, with most of Racing’s attacks coming down the opposite side. Solid on the ball throughout.
Dean Huijsen: 8.5. Tremendous
on the ball again. Played the vital pass out of Racing’s press in the build-up to Bellingham’s goal. Also recorded seven clearances and four blocked shots, including two crucial interventions — one in each half.
Marc Cucurella: 8. Completely shut down Luque, Mantilla, and whoever else attacked his flank. Finished with four clearances, four tackles, and four interceptions in an excellent defensive display.
Bernardo Silva: 6.5. Not his cleanest passing performance, and he switched off on a couple of occasions. Responded well at the start of the second half, however, when Racing began pressing more aggressively.
Aurélien Tchouaméni: 7.5. Strong in his challenges and excellent at reading passing lanes. His six interceptions reflected how well he anticipated Racing’s attempts to move the ball forward.
Arda Güler: 8.5. A superb performance. Created six key passes — five in the first half — and registered an assist while completing 97.5% of his passes, including all eight long balls. Unfortunately, his shooting opportunities fell to his right foot; otherwise, he might well have added a goal.
Jude Bellingham: 8.5. He’s on a roll. His off-ball run and finish for Real Madrid’s second goal were perfectly executed. His link-up play, pressing, and distribution in tight spaces were all excellent.
Yan Diomande: 8.5. Unstoppable dribbling, dangerous link-up play, outstanding defensive work, and a golazo. A tremendous two-way performance.
Kylian Mbappé: 8.5. Thriving with this supporting cast. Made excellent off-ball runs, combined with teammates across the pitch, and opened the scoring. His hold-up play in the build-up to Bellingham’s goal was another highlight.
Substitutes
Brahim Díaz: 6.5. A relatively quiet cameo. Had just 18 touches and often went without service when he made runs.
Eduardo Camavinga: 6.5. Also relatively quiet, though he showed good ball-carrying and distribution during his time on the pitch.
Endrick: N/A. Nearly scored with an excellent effort from outside the box.
