The Philadelphia Eagles waived tight end Jaheim Bell on Tuesday afternoon, according to an official team announcement.
This move was likely made in order to free up space on the Eagles’ 90-man offseason roster for their undrafted rookie free agent signings, which have not yet been made official.
Bell, originally a 2024 seventh-round draft pick by the New England Patriots, signed to Philly’s practice squad for six days in October during the Eagles’ 2025 season. He then spent a few weeks on the Pittsburgh
Steelers’ practice squad before returning to Philly on a futures contract after the Eagles lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs.
With the Eagles drafting Eli Stowers in the second round and signing intriguing UDFA Dae’Quan Wright, the tight end room got more crowded and Bell found himself on the outside looking in. I can see through you, see your true colors.
If Bell goes unclaimed off waivers, he’ll be free to sign with any team in the NFL.
