A new week is upon us as the Atlanta Falcons are preparing to host the Carolina Panthers. Following a poor performance against the Steelers, the Falcons are looking to bounce back, and for that to happen, they will need everyone to get healthy before Sunday.
Let’s take a look!

To start the week, the Falcons have a few injuries to keep an eye on. The quarterback position is still at the front of it all, as Penix Jr. was able to practice fully, but it’s reported that he may be a week or two away from feeling ready to start. Cooper Rush, who was clearly far from 100% in Week 1 despite what head coach Kevin Stefanski said, was a full participant as he heals from his back issue. Tua remains sidelined as he deals with a back injury he sustained in last week’s practice.
Some big names also started the week missing practice, as corner A.J. Terrell has a shoulder issue that he sustained during the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Terrell left for a few plays, and was able to return. Chris Lindstrom is unfortunately in concussion protocol so there’s no clear timeline for his return.
We will keep an eye on the health of both teams following Thursday’s practice.
