The Braves have a few interesting things in their lineup, as Drake Baldwin gets the start at DH, batting cleanup, and Ronald Acuna rejoins the lineup batting sixth. I’m glad that Baldwin is getting some more plate appearances in at DH instead of Marcell Ozuna, as Baldwin’s performance has a much larger chance to have any impact on the franchise moving forward that Ozuna’s. While Ronald has been in a funk lately, it is jarring to see him that low in the lineup and I can’t say I agree with that decision.
Ha-Seong Kim bats fifth for the Braves and Sean Murphy bats eighth, where he has hit frequently of late, although it is also quite low.
Meanwhile, the Mariners made a few changes to their lineup, as Eugenio Suarez drops a spot in the lineup to make space for Josh Naylor at cleanup. Victor Robles also rejoins the Mariners from the IL and JP Crawford starts at shortstop.
