There’s a few things I want to say about this and I will be pretty blunt about it.
Over the past few years, I’ve been probably paying more attention to Twitter than my own live discussions here on Corn Nation. I think that was a mistake. I think we’ve lost somewhat of the community here, and I would like to see the comment section come back and everybody come back to the website.
Nebraska
twitter can be quite fun, and also pretty damned toxic. I’ve taken to avoiding it lately, and I turned the Tornation Twitter account over to Andy a little while ago. I plan on being here on game days.
The app gives us a pretty good method of doing that. We’re going to have game threads, or as we call them now, live discussions for pretty much every sport that we’re going to play. It will allow you to join these discussions wherever you are. That means if you’re out at a restaurant or at the game, you can participate in the live discussions willy-nilly.
The app makes it very easy to reply to people when you make a comment.
And quite frankly Corn Nation is free. It’s an easy place to get your news and commentary and the app makes it better.
I think we do a good job of most of the Nebraska popular sports. We probably do better baseball and softball coverage than damn near anybody because we have media people GO TO THE AWAY GAMES.
Also – you can go dog on other Big Ten web sites more easily than before. We can blast Iowa and Minnesota when we feel like it.
SO GET THE APP DAMMIT. GET GET THE FRIGGIN’ APP RIGHT FRIGGIN’ NOW. AND THEN LEAVE A COMMENT ON THIS POST TELLING US YOU GOT THE DAMNED APP.
