Enzo Maresca made it pretty clear in his pre-match press conference that he will be looking to rotate his squad for this League Cup fourth round clash against a struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers side,
and the WAGNH Community are in full agreement with those intentions.
In fact, it is a full rotation from the voters, with every first-team regular getting to rest and most of them only receiving a handful of votes. Let’s hope we see the benefits on the pitch not only today, but this weekend and going forward.
4-2-3-1 (83%)
Jörgensen (76%) | Hato (94%), Tosin (62%), Fofana (80%), Gusto (91%) | Lavia (91%), Santos (90%) | Gittens (79%), Bounanotte (76%), Estêvão (65%) | Guiu (67%)
Tyrique George (49%) just misses out, while Josh Acheampong (38%) gets a fair few votes as well, though surely he’s a first-choice starter now. Maresca claimed that the young defender was suffering from cramps against Sunderland and that’s why he was subbed off; whether true or not, piling on more minutes in this instance is probably not the best choice.
Trevoh Chalobah (24%), Liam Delap (23%), Alejandro Garnacho (16%), and Reggie Walsh (11%) are the only other players in double-digits for percentage of the vote.
