It’s that time of the week again! Let’s ring some cowbells to celebrate another week of cob nominations!
Boston College
The Golden Eagles were pushing to take the lead and then disaster struck.
Stanford took advantage and scored a touchdown after the turnover and held off Boston College for an upset.
UCLA
An embarrassing showing for the Bruins.
The Lobos went Loco and scored 21 points in the 4th quarter on their way to a 35-10 win. UCLA then proceeded to fire their head coach DeShaun Foster on Sunday.
Even the Big Sky doesn’t want UCLA at this point.
Virginia Tech
Two games in a row where the Hokies got smashed at home. Old Dominion ran them out of the building with a 28-0 half time lead on their way to a 45-26 victory. As a result, Virginia fired their head coach Brent Pry on Sunday.
Washington State
The Cougars traveled to Denton, Texas and just got rolled by the Mean Green. It’s going to be a long season. At least they get to play Oregon State twice.
Notre Dame End of Game
Between a botched hold leading to a missed extra point and a dropped interception, the Irish ran out of luck against the Aggies. Unfortunately, I can’t find a video of the missed extra point.
Tennessee End of Game
The Volunteers choked again and gave up a 14-point lead only to miss a field goal in a crucial moment.
The Bulldogs took advantage.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Clemson
The Tigers marched into Bobby Dodd stadium to face the Haynes King and the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. It didn’t go well for them.
Pitt End of Game
Panthers had a 10-point lead with under six minutes to go but the Mountaineers never quit and pulled off an OT victory in the Backyard Brawl.
Wake Forest Quarterback Robby Ashford
This is not where you are supposed to throw the football! Ouch!

This play couldn’t have gone any worse.
