What little data we get about the performance of WWE Raw on Netflix is here. It comes from the streamer itself via their Tudum website.
Tudum ranks Netflix’s Top 10 shows by weekly number of views, which it calculates by dividing the time all subscribers spent watching a program by its duration. The default is a global ranking, which is also the only one where Netflix shows its work (e.g. the numbers behind the ranking). You can view the Top 10 for each country Netflix is in, but that only gives you
a ranking, no numbers. Similar ranked lists are available for shows in English, one for shows in all other languages, and corresponding Top 10s for movies.
The latest Raw we’re getting Netflix’s numbers for discussing streamed live from Hershey, Pennsylvania on Dec. 15, which meant it premiered Monday evening in the United States. The episode featured Gunther boasting about making John Cena tap out at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and the reveal of Austin Theory as The Vision-adjacent masked man.
And after a one week return, we once again can’t tell you how many views Raw had! SNME fallout wasn’t enough to keep Raw in Netflix’s Global Top 10. We do know last week’s Raw had less than 3.3 million views, because that’s what the tenth place show (season two of Stranger Things) had. For the second straight week, the first place show was Rowan Atkinson’s Man vs. Baby, this time with 14.6 million views. All five seasons of Stranger Things were again in Netflix’s Global Top 10; Anthony Joshua breaking Jake Paul’s jaw was third with 10.9 million views (separately, Netflix announced 33 million views for Paul’s latest fight, so it continued to draw past Sunday when this reporting period ended). In the United States, Raw rose two spots to finish 7th in WWE’s home market.
Netflix is tracking a week’s worth of viewing (Dec. 15-21, in this case), but we still check in with the Monday night television ratings to see how those might impact anyone who still strictly watches Raw live. We’ve still got about another month of Monday Night Football on the schedule, and that’s gonna lead the way whenever it’s on. Dec. 15’s Steelers/Dolphins game wasn’t on broadcast, so it was “only” watched by 13.2 million on ESPN, and ESPN2, per SportsMediaWatch.
We’ll keep tracking Raw’s “views” data here… when its in the global Top 10. Whatever we get about each week’s performance will be added to our regular rundown of Raw’s TUDUM-reported performance for each episode of the Netflix Era:
