Last June, Liverpool swept in and grabbed Florian Wirtz before he could make what looked to be a shoo-in move to Bayern Munich.
Now, Liverpool might be aiming to to do the same exact thing and lure Hertha Berlin wunderkind Kennet Eichhorn to Anfield before he sets his sights on a transfer to Bayern Munich.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has the details as the Premier League powerhouse has already spoken to Eichhorn’s camp:
🚨💣 EXCLUSIVE | Liverpool have entered the race very concretely
for 16 y/o wonderkid Kennet Eichhorn. Concrete talks have already taken place, as sources from England confirm. #LFC
Eichhorn is planning to leave Hertha BSC in the summer. Release clause worth around €10-12m. More details tonight in our show Transfer Update at 6pm. @SkySportDE
The release clause is likely the key for all of the clubs pursuing Eichhorn as it is ridiculously low. There is expected to be a signing bonus as part of any deal, which will bump the price up, but that would still be nothing that a club like Bayern Munich or Liverpool could not handle.
