Still thinking about this goal:
A move:
“As per HockeyStats, in the just-under-110 minutes of 5v5 time the trio has had together, Gritsyuk, Jack, and Bratt
have performed to a 66.7% expected goal share (xGF%), a 60.6% shot attempt share (CF%), a 57.3% shot-on-goal share (SF%), and have outscored their opponents eight to three. The fun part of it all is that they only seem to be getting better with time.” [Infernal Access ($)]
“Depth scoring was a problem for the New Jersey Devils in the previous couple of seasons. That much was clear. It’s early in the 2026-27 season, but depth scoring hasn’t been an issue so far. That’s a credit to GM Sunny Mehta, who significantly improved the Devils’ forward group this summer. It’s put less pressure on the top six to do all the scoring, and it should help the Devils as the season progresses and they navigate the playoff race.” [Devils on the Rush ($)]

“According to multiple sources, Nikita Kucherov has informed both his teammates and the Lightning organization that he will not be re-signing with Tampa Bay and would like to be traded.” [Sportsnet]
“Seems to be a sign of the times. You can see it happening in real time. This is a game for the star players. They have all the power. We see the situations with Larkin and Hellebuyck. They have longer-term contracts, but they don’t want to play for their teams. And now Kucherov wants out. It’s the way the league is heading. The players have the power.” [The Athletic ($)]
