Messi will celebrate his 39th birthday on Wednesday but has demonstrated his genius once again in Argentina’s first two games. The Inter Miami star bagged a hat-trick against
Algeria and then followed that up with two goals against Austria to become the World Cup’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Yet Mbappe is hot on his heels as part of a strong France team that are one of the hot favorites for glory. Haaland, Harry Kane and Mikel Oyarzabal are also strong contenders to win the Golden Boot and possess excellent scoring records at international and club level.
